The storage mode adjusts charge levels when the battery reaches 100%, rather than applying a constant voltage like trickle chargers. This keeps batteries far healthier over time.

It charges fast to 80%, then slows for the final 20%, based on a chemistry-specific or custom profile. In normal mode, it works for 99% of batteries and can even revive fully discharged ones from 0 volts.

Choose from 8 pre-programmed charge profiles for lithium, lead-acid, AGM, gel, or flooded batteries, or create a custom one for fine-tuning. Low power mode makes the Blue Smart Charger compatible with smaller battery sizes.

Lithium battery mode- As lithium batteries require special care, the Blue Smart Charger comes with a dedicated Li-ion setting. It adjusts the algorithm to charge the battery faster, working within lithium's tight voltage tolerances and preventing overcharge damage. It can even revive deeply discharged batteries with automatic under-voltage protection reset.
Reconditioning mode- Lead-acid batteries left partially charged or sitting idle for weeks can lose capacity due to sulfation buildup. The recondition mode can help restore performance by applying a higher-voltage charge cycle that breaks down these capacity-robbing deposits.
Power supply mode- Need a stable power source for your equipment? The Blue Smart Charger doubles as a DC power supply. Select this mode in the VictronConnect app to deliver constant voltage to your devices—with or without a battery connected.
Dead battery detection and revival- The Blue Smart Charger automatically adapts to all battery conditions, using a highly-advanced charging algorithm. If it detects a fully discharged battery during the test stage, it immediately applies a low current to revive it, even from 0 volts.
Temperature-compensated charging- Before starting the charging process, the algorithm measures the ambient temperature and compensates for it. The temperature is measured again at low current, for instance when the battery is nearly full or when the charger is in storage mode. This allows the Blue Smart Charger to perform from -20ºC/-4°F to +50ºC/122°F without special settings.
