Hybrid Beltless Alternator (HBA) The HBA has a standard three year warranty and a target life of more than 10 years. The Vanner HBA capability is now available for order on Allison's H 40 EP and H 50 EP Hybrid Systems produced with 2011 Software.
The HBA surpasses the alternator with full power at curb idle and 25-30% effficiency improvements, improved fuel economy and reduced emissions.
Stable DC power is provided at all temperatures and speeds. Increased reliability and reduced maintenance is achieved by removing the alternator, V-belts, Voltage regulator, pulleys and idle tensioner, hydraulic lines and fittings and moving parts. The HBA's rugged, reliable and safe design is built to last through bus mid-life and beyond.
